By April 1988, however, these retail outlets were given a corporate identity, and Expressions Card & Stationery Shop was born.

The first company owned and operated retail outlet opened in SM Carpark in SM North Edsa, which was soon followed by a second store in Ever Gotesco Grand Central.

To Growth
The company was growing, and by 1990, Expressions started looking at inter-island operations. It established a foothold in the Visayas region by managing the stationery section of Robinsons Cebu, months after it started to manage the stationery sections of Robinsons Galleria, Ermita, and Alabang. In 1994, Expressions opened in SM City Cebu.

Now, Expressions has 46 branches across the archipelago, from NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to serve the needs of students and young professionals.

The Expressions Evolution
From its humble beginnings as a "card and stationery shop", Expressions has expanded its merchandise mix to provide customers with quality and affordable school and office supplies, gifts and novelty items, greeting cards, stationeries, albums, seasonal decorative and fun items plus many more. It continues to carry well-known and trusted brands that have remained partners of Expressions throughout the years. Thus, the tagline "It's More Than Just a Card Shop" was conceived in 1995.
